The purpose of the African American Graduation Celebration is to provide an African-centered ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of the graduates, and the support received from family and friends. The African American Graduation Celebration provides a forum where excellence among students can be celebrated and achievements acknowledged.  It is not an alternative graduation, but rather a celebration of success. We strongly encourage your participation in the University Commencement to be held May 9 and 10, 2017 at Fox Theatre- please visit www.commencement.wayne.edu for more information.
