Trauma, Grief, and Loss (3 CEUs)
This training will provide an overview of key theoretical and practical approaches to grief and loss. Participants will also understand the impact of sudden loss and violent deaths and how to support families during a loss while they also conduct a thorough investigation. This training will also examine symptoms and types and misconceptions of grief and explore the various components of trauma, grief, and loss. Presenters Nancy Keller-MacKinnon, LMSW and Haley K. Scott, LLMSW will help participants identify how grief can affect an individual in a myriad of ways (emotional, behavioral, cognitive, physical, and spiritual) and also explore the importance of a self-care approach.
