Design Services

The Department of Medical Communications offers a comprehensive range of services to support the medical education and research needs of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Wayne State University, and our educational and health sciences partners. Our services include design, printing, photography, videography, motion graphics, illustration, and production. While we prioritize university and clinical projects, we also assist with personal creative needs from anyone who submits an order.

Key Areas of Support:

• Design and Illustration: Specializing in visual communication to enhance medical education at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and our health sciences partners.
• Photography: In-house studio headshots, event photography, medical procedure documentation, and archiving and printing services.
• Motion Design and Video Support: Providing video footage (b-roll, short interviews), motion design, and animation for openers and explainer videos.
• Printing and Art Production: Offering graphic design printing, large-format printing, vinyl applications, archival photo printing, and framing services.

Rates and Prioritization:

• Design Rate: $75/hour.
• Prioritization: Projects supporting the educational mission of the university take precedence.
• Compliance: We adhere to HIPAA and copyright laws.
