Lazer prints paper weights

  • Text weights - 24#, 28# and 32#
  • Cover weights (often referred to as cardstock) - 60# to 110#

Sizes

  • Letter (8.5 x 11")
  • Legal (8.5" x 14")
  • Tabloid (11"x 17" - exactly double a letter page)

To order your laser prints on text weight stock, please review the following:

  • Please be advised there is a quarter inch of white space around all lazer prints. If you wish to have full ink coverage, you must select a larger paper size and provide crop marks and bleeds.
  • If you want your prints trimmed in half or quartered, please provide your PDF file set up to fit the page accordingly.
  • Its very important to understand about crop marks, bleeds and final page trim size. Please read about crop marks and bleeds here: https://medcom.med.wayne.edu/faqs
  • Its important to note that when you upload a document for printing, you must also count the pages in the document to be printed

Booklet printing (folded and stapled in the machine) printing is available.

  • A letter sized booklet would be printed on tabloid sized paper. A statement sized booklet would be printed on letter sized paper.
  • Keep in mind when the booklet is folded, there are 4 panels (which we call a "reading" page) but it is using only 1 sheet of paper (which we refer to as a "printer page")
  • For example, if you need 30 booklets and each booklet contains 4 printer pages (for a total of 16 folded reading pages) you would be printing 120 printer pages (30 booklets multiplied by the amount of printer pages in each booklet).
  • All booklets submitted must have a total reading page count that is divisible by 4.
  • To send us a booklet to be printed, we need single page PDFs
